Dear Members of North Shore Fellowship,

Many of you have shared that you are praying with and for us in this process. We are so grateful for your prayers as we seek God’s wisdom. If you would like to pray with us in person, we will meet for a time of prayer upstairs at 118 Woodland the first Sunday of each month at 11AM. We plan for these meetings to be 15 minutes of prayer time, and we hope that this will also be an opportunity for members to connect with us and ask questions afterwards. (Next meeting dates are October 4, November 1, and December 6, 2026)

Throughout our time together in August, we were able to finalize a sermon-evaluation rubric and start listening to sermons and doing initial reviews of referrals we have received. We currently have over 20 recommendations of possible candidates. At the beginning of September, we finalized the Senior Pastor job description and church profile; you can find those posted on the NSF website under the search committee page.

We also spent time hearing from staff in August. Each member of the search committee met with staff members one on one to inform them of our process and ask questions to receive feedback. We will be meeting with each pastor over the next month to connect with them as well.

In the next few weeks, we hope to have a finalized framework for our candidate-search and interview process. We also hope to begin contacting candidates and, Lord willing, coordinating interviews. Please pray, as always, that we carry out the Lord’s work in the Lord’s way, honoring all who are involved in this process and having wisdom as we engage in our search.
