About Jerry Harwood

Jerry Harwood has served as Executive Pastor at North Shore Fellowship since 2025, bringing decades of leadership experience in ministry, education, counseling, and pastoral care. Prior to joining NSF, Jerry served as Executive Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga and as director of Camp Vesper Point, where he invested deeply in discipleship and community formation.

Ordained in the PCA in 2000, Jerry has spent more than 25 years teaching at the middle school, high school, and college levels in subjects including psychology, Latin, Bible, and theology. He earned his Master of Divinity, magna cum laude, from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham and also holds a master’s degree in psychology from Richmont University. His professional background includes counseling, and he faithfully served as a volunteer firefighter chaplain for 12 years.

A native of Ooltewah and graduate of Baylor School, Jerry is also a published author of novels for tween and teen boys. He and his wife, Emily, are grateful to call Chattanooga home as they continue serving the church and community.
