About John Tomberlin

Associate Pastor & Local Missions and Pastoral Care

John Tomberlin has served as Associate Pastor at North Shore Fellowship since 2019, bringing a deep commitment to pastoral care, discipleship, and local outreach. Ordained in the PCA in 2016, John first joined the NSF community in 2012 as a pastoral intern while also founding the Chattanooga Fellows Program, a ministry focused on equipping young adults to thoughtfully integrate faith, work, and vocation.

John earned his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida, in 2011, where he met his wife, Erin. During his eight years in Orlando, he served as a pastoral intern while also working as a meat cutter—a role he jokingly describes as unexpectedly formative. Raised in Enterprise, Alabama, John graduated from the University of Alabama before pursuing ministry.

At North Shore Fellowship, John shepherds Local Missions and provides leadership in Pastoral Care, walking closely with individuals and families through seasons of joy, hardship, and spiritual growth.
